Canyon High School hosts global technology, education summit
Google and EdTechTeam held a GAFESummit at Canyon High School last week, one of three in Texas and 100 globally. The purpose of the two-day event on Wednesday and Thursday was to expose educators to the Google educational programs and demonstrate how they were successful in real classrooms.
“The first day of the Google conference was tremendous,” Justin Richardson, CISD executive director of curriculum and professional development, said. “It really exceeded our expectations. The connections we’re making with people throughout the Panhandle is outstanding. The presenters have been world-class. It’s really challenging us to think about the tools we currently have and how to amp them up to be even more engaging for kids.”
