Through the organization of Unete, Google.org donated 2.1 million dollars to equip classrooms and train Mexican teachers in order to provide the necessary tools to promote education in Mexico. EdTechTeam Mexico, committed to education in the country, will participate in providing training to coaches in order to certify them as Google Educators at Levels 1 and 2, so that they can as well train the teachers who are part of this project. With this training, we aim to empower teachers by giving them access to both new content and new practices to incorporate technology into their teaching. This grant aims to reach 750 teachers and 24,000 students distributed in 59 primary schools in the Mexican Republic. The offline platform that will be used in this project will be Kolibri, through which schools will be provided with educational content in Spanish aligned with the current curricula.

Another key objective of this project is to provide an offline solution that is easy to incorporate into the classroom and thus narrow the gap between schools that have access to the Internet and those that do not, as expressed Florencia Bianco manager of Communication of Google for Latin America. EdTechTeam México is proud of being part of this amazing project.
