What an incredible day at the EdTechTeam Virtual Summit on Saturday! Thank you to all of you who registered, joined in, won prizes, presented, tweeted out new ideas to try, and BLEW up the YouTube live chat – ALL DAY LONG!
The day kicked off with Dee Lanier and a Keynote that encouraged teachers to create experiences in their classroom. Dee hit home that memories are greater than memorization for our students and as teachers, we can really design amazing experiences and memories for our students in our classroom.
The sessions throughout the day focused on the 4 C’s of Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking from our amazing 12 presenters! Topics ranged from Coding on Chromebooks, exploring all the Google Geo tools, visualizing data in spreadsheets, blended learning with Google, and SO MUCH MORE!
We finished the day with a fun Demo Slam where presenters shared favorite tips and tricks in 3 minutes or less. Congrats to Lisa Thumann for her well deserved Demo Slam win (although it was VERY VERY Close!) Thanks to all of our amazing presenters who made this day fantastic!
It was fantastic to see all of YOU enjoying some PD in your Pj’s! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
See a slideshow of some cozy tweets from the Virtual Summit!
Right now, we have the full 6-hour recording of the EdTechTeam Virtual Summit, but in the coming weeks, we’ll be splitting the video into individual sessions for easier viewing.

Go Fund Me: Chromebooks for Santa Rosa
One of the EdTechTeam Virtual Presenters, George Barcenas, has been greatly affected by the Santa Rosa fires and we are raising money to purchase Chromebooks for the students at Redwood Adventist Academy who have lost their school and every supply, textbook and digital devices they had. We’ve raised almost $1,000 and we’d love you to consider any donation that you can. Many people have just given $5! George took time from his upturned life to inspire us at the Virtual Summit, let’s inspire him by a generous donation to his kids’ school.

Let’s do it again!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 3, 2018. We’re going to do another EdTechTeam Virtual Summit and we’d love to see you there! Registration information coming soon!
