3-5 Social Studies Chromebook: Full Day or Multiple Workshops

April 1, 2021

This full-day workshop allows history teachers a deep-dive with instruction, modeling, and strategies for creating media-rich lessons. We focus on publishing templates with Google Slides including a variety of template samples for use with any age level (e.g newspapers, newsletters, posters, trading cards etc.); discover Google Geo Tools and VR to take virtual field trips; and explore some exciting web-based apps outside of the G Suite of tools to improve student research and creatively demonstrate student learning. Additionally, we have built in dedicated time to learn about ESL and assistive technology strategies.

3-5 Science Chromebooks: Full Day or Multiple Workshops

April 1, 2021

This full-day science workshop allows participants to explore G Suite and web-based tools to create engaging science lessons using the NGSS 5E lesson organization. Topics covered include using Google Slides to create visual arguments, collecting and analyzing data on Google Sheets, using Google Docs for science simulations, and learning how Breakout EDU Digital games can be an engaging, inquiry source for science lessons. Additionally, we have built in dedicated time to learn about ESL and assistive technology strategies.

3-5 Math Chromebooks: Full Day or Multiple Workshops

April 1, 2021

This full-day math session provides instruction, modeling, and workshop time with the following topics: Google Slides, EquatiO and Mathspace, Google Drawings, and HyperDocs to provide opportunities with drawing, manipulatives, interactive diagrams, and lesson design.

3-5 ELA Chromebooks: Full Day or Multiple Workshops

April 1, 2021

This full-day ELA session provides instruction, modeling, and workshop time with the following topics: digital publishing using websites and many forms of collaborative lessons using Google Docs. ELA teachers leave the session with the confidence to use these tools and strategies in the classroom and a library of lesson templates to use in their classrooms immediately. The day ends with assistive technology and ESL strategies to allow for differentiation in lessons and communication in the classroom.

This full-day workshop allows participants the opportunity to explore the use of G Suite and other technologies to enhance the educational experience of all their students. We look at how technology can support students through tools that are essential to some but good for all. We also look at different strategies that can be applied to better support your students from an accessibility aspect to functional output. K-2, 3-6, 6-12, and Related Services Workshops available.
