Literacy

In this workshop, we’ll explore the components of early literacy through a variety of tools and activities designed with young learners in mind, including Seesaw, Epic Books, Flipgrid, the Google Suite, and more! These activities can be used to support early literacy instruction in traditional classroom instruction, as well as in a remote/online/blended learning model.

This session will be an overview of the five components of Early Literacy. We define each and then examine tools and best practices for teaching these things remotely. This session will cover Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary Development, and Comprehension.
