Over the past few years, we at California League of Schools (CLS) have been working hard to revamp and revitalize the attendee experience at our conferences. We have added unconference spaces, hands-on STEM sessions, and increased opportunities for attendees to interact with one another in a more social environment. With all the changes we have made and will continue to make to improve the conference experience, one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to providing high-quality professional development that educators can implement right away. As we look to the future, we are excited about the partnerships we are developing with other non-profit organizations that are equally dedicated to providing high-quality professional development.
Our Fall Conference focuses on student-centered learning and features keynotes by Dave Burgess and Julie Adams. Some of the new things we have added to this conference are a “debrief” session where attendees can share their learning with their teams and fellow attendees; attendees’ choice of one of three extended sessions, focused on trauma-informed practices, educational technology, or growth mindset; and we have partnered with EdTechTeam to provide optional Level 1 & 2 Google Certification Bootcamps.
We are also excited that this partnership with EdTechTeam extends into our Teaching with Technology Conference, where Monica Martinez, EdTechTeam’s Regional Director, Latin America and Southern US, will present a keynote address, as well as a Google-focused breakout session.
The ever-popular AppLab, an unconference space where educators can get hands-on experience with the tools and technology they have been learning about, will be back at our Teaching with Technology Conference this year. Additionally, EdTechTeam will be offering their Level 1 & 2 Google Certification Bootcamps, and CUE will be there with a series of their Rock Star sessions.
We hope you will join CLS and EdTechTeam at one of these great events. Don’t miss your opportunity to dive deep with a cohort of exceptional educators who may become a part of your professional learning network!
